Monday June 15th 2009 - Pix and Video

Why make a site name more complicated than necessary, right? Right. Today's site is simply called Pix and Video because it offers pix and videos of of hot girls. More specifically the girls are glamour models typically from Hungary, Czech Republic or other Eastern European countries. And as we all know, that's where some of the world's hottest women are found.

Pix and Video has found a whole bunch of them and filmed them either posing solo, masturbating or with a guy/girlfriend. The newer videos are offered in 1280x720 HD WMV. They look very good and have plenty of closeups of all the action we want to see. Pictures could be slightly larger at currently 1280x852 pixels considering this is high quality glamour photography. And maybe that is something that will happen soon, since when we visited the site, the current poll asked whether members would like to see larger images with the overwhelming majority having answered yes.

Pix and Video has been updating since 2003 giving it a large archive of updates, which makes it great value for money. And with a membership comes access to a bunch of other sites made by the same guys and with similar quality content only in different various niches.

So altogether Pix and Video is a very solid site for fans of babes and glamour content with a hardcore twist.

Wednesday June 17th 2009 - Muffia

Today we have one of the big sites on the line - Muffia - we've been following its progress for a while now and thought it was now time to get it reviewed. There's no point in reviewing a major site based only on its first month or two.

And when knowing that it is the guys behind the very popular Reality Kings network that have created Muffia, it is with great expectations that we enter the site.

And like you have come to expect from a major reality porn network its front page is flowing over with colorful and eye-catching pictures from the episodes on the site.

The Muffia network consists of 10 individual sites - there's particularly focus on lesbian action, big dicks and the everyday life of a pornstar. In addition there's a site with unusual sexual cases, a site where mainstream Hollywood blockbusters are given a pornographic twist and a site with a somewhat Asian theme.

Not all sites are updated equally often. In particular Molly's Life -- a lesbian site where Molly is the star of the site -- is updated pretty often. The site with movie remakes only has 6 episodes, but they seem to have quite a big budget each, so it's no wonder why they don't do one of those per day.

Overall the action is pretty entertaining, and there seems to be fewer "filler" episodes than you see on other sites.

Video quality however is somewhat disappointing though. At 720x404 in WMV format, there is room for improvement. Luckily we are starting to see the first reality porn networks implementing High Def movies now (Brazzers is the first example) so there's hope for the future.

Overall, Muffia is a great new reality network with fewer updates than its competitors, but the average entertainment value of an episode is higher than other sites.

Thursday June 18th 2009 - The Boss XXX

It has always been a fascinating fantasy to many to think of amateur girls showing up to a porn audition ready to strip naked and blow or fuck a guy on camera to get a job in a porn movie.

The Boss XXX takes this fantasy to its full extent. The site contains movies with the entire "casting" where girls are interviewed, strip down and then have sex in front of the camera.

The girls aren't all amateurs though - some of the names and faces will be very familiar to you if you have seen some of the major reality porn sites.

Nevertheless the action is alright if you don't set your expectations too high. The movies are typically shot POV style and with amateur equipment and lighting to stick to the theme.

Movies however are quite poor when it comes to quality. There is definitely the need for a major improvement here. The highest option is 640x480px. WMV at 1.04 mbps. Most though have 460x348px WMV at 1.04 mbps as the highest option. Simply too low quality for today's porn.

Friday June 19th 2009 - Ashlynn Brooke

About one and a half years ago, I was attending a party in Las Vegas together with other adult webmasters. One of the cute models that were also invited to the party was Ashlynn Brooke. And let me tell you that she looks at least every bit as hot in person as she does on the pictures.

At that time, I must admit that I had never heard of Ashlynn before, but ever since then, she has popped up regularly both in my mind and on the adult scene. She has been nominated for several AVN Awards including one as Female Performer of the Year.

Checking out her official site leads to plenty of video and photo content with her. She stars in both guy/girl, lesbian and solo content.

Video quality is quite high as is the picture quality. The major problem for the site is that updates aren't very regular and that the archive isn't all that huge.

Overall though, there is a decent collection of Ashlynn's work on the site, and at its current price of $14.95 for a month, it isn't completely unreasonable.

Webcams.com has an extremely large amount of amateur models sitting in front of their computer and most importantly - their web camera which broadcasts streaming video directly to all of us watching it on the site.

Their database of models contains 30,000 profiles out of which around 500 are online at any given time. This is of course due to the models being all around globe in many different countries - she could be two houses down the street from you for that sake.

To get access to see and chat with all those models, you will have to join the site via a $4.99 trial membership which then recurs at $38.95 monthly until cancelled. This enables you to see a number of recorded clips from some models previous cam shows. But it also gives you access to chat with the models online in their free chat area. This means you can chat all you want for free while watching her - she doesn't get naked in the free chat though. But you can get to know her and what she has to offer in a private session.

To get a private chat session with a model you have to buy credits which will cost around $1.00 a piece (bonus credits when you buy more than 30 credits at the time). A private session always costs 3 credits per minute. This is actually cheaper than some of the other live cam sites we have seen which can be twice that.

Quality of the video streams is okay although a bit small (around 320x240 pixels). This is an area that could be improved though. There is also sound, which is acceptable quality.

So overall Webcams.com is a fairly good live cam site with the main pros of having a huge number of models (including couples and guys) and the relatively low cost for private shows. A con is that you have to have an active membership to be chatting with the models.

Wednesday December 3rd 2008 - Brazzers Network

Are you familiar with the name Brazzers? I personally wasn't until one year ago when we first reviewed this reality site network (Old Brazzers review).

But since then the name Brazzers has become synonymous with high quality reality porn. And with good reason. They add at least one new scene to their collection of reality porn scenes every day. They all feature one or more well known pornstars in each scene. Much of the focus is on big cocks, MILFs, big boobs and big butts.

I have had the chance to keep a regular eye on Brazzers for a while and followed them as they have made a couple of changes - for example they are working on a new members area interface at the moment. And this is where another interesting part of Brazzers enters the picture - the members comments. Brazzers (known as ZZ in the community) obviously has many enthusiastic fans who often analyse a scene through multiple paragraphs pointing out exactly what they like and didn't like. These guys sure don't hold back.

The most important thing that has enabled Brazzers to rise to the top of reality porn, is the way each scene has a pretty well thought out plot and that the porn stars seem to give all they have to make this plot work. And much effort also goes into the settings, clothes and props to further enhance the experience. And finally the camera guy adapts his filming style to the genre of site a scene is for - for example if the scene is for Big Butts Like it Big, attention is paid to the girls' voluptuous asses.

Each scene has multiple video formats in good quality. A scene also has a huge number of photographs in average resolution - they seem to just post every picture they take while shooting the scene, so 1,000+ images is not unusual.

We don't hesitate to recommend Brazzers if you like reality porn made with enthusiasm and starring pornstars enjoying what they do.

Thursday December 4th 2008 - BDSM Ticket

BDSM Ticket promises to offer a "Collection of the most exhaustive list of BDSM movies" as well as "Hundreds of full length, high quality" movies.

While it does have a reasonably long list (around 100) of movie clips apparently taken from BDSM DVDs, they are not really what could be called high quality and I don't think it comes close to the most exhaustive list either.

The movies come in WMV files with the newest 20 or so scenes available in 720x540 at 2.60 Mbps. This is fine and good quality. The rest of the scenes however only come in 512x384 at 1.51 Mbps as their highest resolution.

What goes on in the movies is bondage, whipping, flogging, spanking, clothes pins play, candle wax dripping, etc. Some of the participants are pro-am porn actresses while others seem to be amateurs. Many of them are slightly voluptuous.

What some of them miss however is one of the key ingredients - passion and authenticity. Some times it seems like there is too much acting going on and not enough actual emotion.

So overall, look at sites like Whipped Ass, Sex and Submission or Hog Tied for examples of better fetish sites with similar themes.

Friday December 5th 2008 - MSD Girls

My Secret Diary Girls - also known as MSD Girls presents us with a number of amateur girls showcased in a couple of photo sets and video scenes.

The site is appears to be only a couple of months old and so far contains 12 girls. That is obviously not a lot and the main reason why the site doesn't get a higher score. The thing is that while the site is still new and small, it has the price tag of a large site with a huge archive of content like for example FTV Girls which is kind of similar to MSD Girls.

There is nothing wrong with the idea behind the site as FTV Girls' success shows, but the site and production needs a bit of fine tuning to get the site going.

Scenes seem to be shot at a hotel room which is okay although the surroundings can become a bit bland in the long run I guess. There is almost always a bed involved since one of the ideas is that the girl talks to the camera like it was a diary. The girls also masturbate in front of the camera in soft and sensual sessions. I don't know if this is going to be enough to keep you interested in the long run since it can become a bit repetitive.

Photos seem to be shot with a consumer camera which I would suggest improving over time. Especially since the videos are high definition at 1280x720 at 5 mps WMV files.

I think you could experiment a bit more with the site's concept - it doesn't always have to take place in a bed or bathroom necessarily. But I guess the site needs to find its style and see what works.

For now the site is way overpriced and doesn't offer a whole lot in the sense of unique ideas. It could however become a good site over time.
