Next Door Buddies is as open as a book – not only is their tour identical to the member's area, they also show you exactly what you're going to get. All of the videos and photos are listed on the tour, so you can go through and get a taste of the delicious amateur gay hunks that are waiting on the other side.

I'm a big fan of having a transparent tour like that, especially since it's hard to tell what you're getting in a porn site. After so much marketing speak, it's nice to come across one site that just says 'here it is, take a look, if you like it come on in'.

Our opinion

Next Door Buddies is made by Next Door Studios, which is a team of wonderfully perverted people who have a knack for finding straight and gay guys to tempt and delight with. They're also usually very good at making great sites to go around their great content, so I'm looking forward to this one already.

The latest updates are listed on the main page, with a new set added every week like clock work. The guys universally fall into the hunks category, although among these amateurs there's plenty of leeway in there. Some of the guys look one step away from body builders, while others are riding the line between twink and jock. They all have that guy next door look that makes you feel like you would have no problem going for beer with them after they've fucked you silly.

There are 223 sets in total, which consist of a video, a professional photo shoot, and a screencap collection. The one complaint that I have with the set up of the video page is that if you're just browsing, it's only four videos to a page and they have a large amount of screencaps. It seems like that should be on the individual video page, since it makes for a lot of scrolling while you're browsing. It's not a big pain, but just a bit odd.

The individual video page is laid out nicely, with the Flash streaming option right at the top, the downloads below that, and a link to the screencap set along with some more previews off to the side. The video downloads are DRM free, and come in full scenes only. This makes for some rather large files. The three downloads you can nab are two qualities of WMV and a Quicktime version. The highest quality WMV is 720x480 and 2 mbps, with great lighting and camera work. The guys might be amateurs, but this crew knows what they're doing and how to make great porno. The Quicktime and low quality WMV are shown at 360x240 and 800 kbps. Most of the videos run for 20 minutes, and there's plenty of variety with situations and locations.

The screencap sets are not as large as I normally expect caps to be, but they make up for that with very good quality caps shown at 720x540 There are an average of 60 caps per set, and they take you through the highlights of each scene. Since the downloads can be fairly large, it's definitely worth taking a look at while you wait. If you're a real photo lover, you'll want to pop over to the pictures section to see what Next Door Buddies has waiting for you there. These are really nice quality photos in small sets of 40 photos per set, taken during the scene. They are shown at 800x1200 and the quality is through the roof. It would have been nice if they offered zip downloads or slideshows, but that's the only real nitpick I have about either of the photo set types.

Conclusion

Next Door Buddies hits the nail on the head when it comes to showing off great gay amateur hunks. They keep quality in mind while retaining the look and feel of some guys that just meet up and have some fun, not practiced pornstars waiting for the next scene. The videos and photos are both very good quality. The only real complaint is that they probably could have used a bit more user friendly features, such as clips for the large sized videos and zip downloads for the great photo sets.
