First impression

Squirtz is an odd name for a gay porn site, but it turns out that these guys have the gay hookup in Montreal and they're using it to get guys to stop on by and perform for them. There really aren't that many Canadian gay sites out there – this company runs another one, and then there's a handful more. So I'm certainly interested to see sexy guys from the great white North.

The member's area resembles the tour. You have a basic navigation that basically just gives you a link to the most recent updates and home. The latest updates are shown down the middle, and the upcoming one is listed as well. There are 420 episodes, and you're getting a new one each and every week. Just skimming through the first few shows me how much variety you're getting from Montreal – color me impressed.

Our opinion

Squirtz is as big of a site as promised, and I have to say that I'm happy they have that many horny Canadians running around. These are definitely the type of guys that you would see next door, if your next door consisted of guys that go 'eh' and 'aboot' a lot.

The episode pages have a nice layout to them. The Quicktime streaming video is right in the middle of the page, and the episode information is down in the right sidebar. The stats section is up first, then the video download option (M4V). Under that you have two streaming options, either a large 640x480 or a small 320x240 video. The streams are divided up into several sections which all have descriptions. The interview starts things off, and it progresses through close ups, cum shots, and even clean up. The photo gallery link is presented on this page as well.

I found that the format options were somewhat odd here. I had no problem streaming the Quicktime videos, but I'm used to getting Flash videos for streaming lately. Both of the streams look nice, with bitrates of around 1.5 – 2 mbps. The M4V download is another odd format option, moreso for being the only download option. Increased format selection probably would have been a good idea for Squirtz. With that said, the streaming and download videos have the same quality at 640x480 and 1.6 mbps, so it's really up to you whether you stream it or download it.

Now to the photos. There are about 50 photos per set, presented in a basic gallery setup. There are no zip or slideshow options, but you can save these pictures with a link on the lightbox photo. The are shown at 640x480 and are good amateur quality. They are from full photo shoots instead of screencaps, and follow along almost identically with the scene.

Conclusion

I really enjoyed my Squirtz experience. The site features feel somewhat barebones at times, due to the whole limited format thing and straightforward presentation. You know what though, they can get away with it because this is one of the biggest Canadian gay porn sites that I've been in that is frequently updated. If you want to see these sexy amateurs from up north doing their thing, this is a prime place to do it.
