When Kink puts their focus on something, be it straight, gay or transsexual, they nail it every time. They're one of the few porn companies that manages to pull that off, and with flying colors at that. Bound in Public combines gay bondage with public situations – a combination of site concepts that I have never seen before. These guys get trussed up and have one hell of an audience to watch them getting tied up and fucked.

The Bound in Public member's area is the same as the tour. The search box in the upper right allows you to browse through the site with keyword searches. The episodes are displayed down the main page, and you can switch between full, brief and gallery view. You can also change the sorting method or limit results by several categories.

Our opinion

Bound in Public delivers public bondage in a variety of fashions, with guys having a huge audience while they're getting tied up. You'll see the crowd coming in and admiring the bondage rigging, which is done professionally and in a great variety of fashions. The crowd is not shy about jumping in and giving a yank at the model's dick or participating even further. The guys are tied up in the Armory, on stage, in alleys, in stores, pretty much every public place you could possibly think of.

The episode pages give you a lengthy description, large photo sets with over 200 pictures each, and an hour long video for every Bound in Public experience. You get 7 episodes currently, and while that sounds like a small number Bound in Public literally launched the night I'm writing this review. With weekly updates, this highly niched gay site is going an incredibly original bondage site with plenty of content.

The videos come in four different download formats. You get a standard and HD WMV, a HD HP4 video and a mobile version. The highest quality is 1280x720 and 3 mbps from the HD videos. The others are shown at 960x540 and 1.5 mbps and 640x360 and 1 mbps. You also get a streaming Flash option if you don't want to grab the download. The bondage is absolutely intense, the guys are experienced at bondage and BDSM, and you're going to be shocked at the intensity of it. I expected nothing less from Kink, of course. You can download the videos all at once or in clips.

The photo sets are very well done as well. The photo galleries are split up between the different parts of the scene, with a gallery setup that supports the PicLens viewer. You can also get all of the photos in a zip download if you'd like to save them for later. The photos are full photo shoots but follow the general theme of the videos, shown at 1200x800. You can switch to a lower quality if you wish.

Bound in Public occasionally offers live shows shot in the Kink Armory, such as their Launch party show. These shows are free with your subscription, although if you want to watch shows from other Kink properties those are pay per minute. The viewer is 960x540, quick buffering and 2 mbps. It's one of the nicest streaming live videos you're ever going to see. You can also check out the Kink forums if you're in the mood for interaction.

Conclusion

Bound in Public is one of the most intense and refreshing gay bondage sites that I've ever seen. Public bondage is a concept that is very rarely explored, so you have a freshness factor that other bondage sites can't match. Add that in with Kink's proclivity for amazing gay models, true BDSM knowledge and a high quality production and you have a real winner.
