Male Digital is a non-exclusive, hardcore gay and bisexual DVD site that seems like it has a lot to offer. The tour talks about daily updates, you can tell that the tour and member's area share the same design, so you get to see the updates for yourself, as well as the layout.

It's a fairly standard DVD site layout, with a content browser in the sidebar that gives you options for videos, categories and series. A model directory would have been handy, but you can sort choose to include or exclude bisexual content if that's not your kind of thing.

Our opinion

Male Digital has a lot of competition in the hardcore gay DVD arena, so it's going to need to be on top of its game to compete with others in this market. You are getting the video number promised at 1,849, which consists of scenes from 344 full DVDs. The studios and gay pornstars presented in this list are varied, so you should have something for everyone. That being said, you do not get the promised update schedule. Instead it's every couple of days on updates, instead of daily or multiple daily updates are promised. With the collection size it's not a big deal, but it would be nice to see accuracy in the marketing text.

The video pages are pretty straightforward, with a run down of the clip information and some screencaps. You can look at the DVD scenes individually or go down a list of all of the scenes on a particular DVD. The scene pages give you a split between download or streaming video, as well as a link to the screenshots. The video quality isn't amazing, topping off at 720x480 and 2 mbps, but it does look pretty good. You can get that quality with the Flash streaming videos or the WMV downloads. You can also get a smaller MOV download, shown at 320x240 and 1.2 mbps. The total DVD length averages between 90 minutes to 120 minutes, with the scenes going to 20 or 30 minutes each. You'll see all types of gay and bisexual niches here, with the standard hardcore scenes having the most representation out of this collection.

The screencap galleries are small and basic, with 40 photos on average. You get highlights of the main action from each scene, so you can quickly and easily tell whether you want to wait on a download. The caps are pretty good quality, and shown at 720x480. You don't get zip downloads or slideshows with this gallery.

Male Digital memberships open up access to two other sites run by the same company. The first is Bisex Digital, a DVD hardcore site that focuses only on bisexual action. The second is Visconti Triplets, which is a true rarity in any type of porn. This site is all about identical triplets who are all gay, and have no problem getting naked for the camera and sharing their partners.

Male Digital review conclusion

Male Digital does manage to get a solid designation in gay and bisexual hardcore sites. The site has a good sized collection, although it does need a lot more user-friendly features to elevate itself from good to great. The content quality and format selection could also use some work.
