First impression

You may recognize the name: Evil Angel isn't just a porn website, it's a porn studio. They produce a lot of porn DVDs including the work of famous directors and stars like Rocco, Cristoph Clark, John Stagliano (aka. Buttman) and Jay Sin. Perhaps more interesting, they work with the finest European porn stars as well as many from across the Atlantic in the Americas: Aletta Ocean, Angel Dark, Lexi Belle, Silvia Saint, Melissa Lauren, and more than 1,500 other girls if you believe the numbers they advertise on the tour.

We signed up for an account to see if this prolific studio delivered everything it promised to their web surfing fans and members. Read on for the in depth report.

Our opinion

Sites like Evil Angel really have an advantage over those porn sites that are starting from scratch. They start online with years of experience shooting porn, working with talent around the world, and with some of the industry's top directors on the payroll. That alone isn't enough to make a good porn website, though; does Evil Angel manage to waylay that into success online?

The short answer is: Yes, they do. It would appear that the studio is more than ever interested in offering a top quality experience online, as they've been making a lot of moves over the past few months in growing the size of the site and making it easier to browse.

The members area looks great, and has all of the features that modern web surfers expect: search tools, category databases, model indexes, a favorites list (that you can add to as you like), and other tools for sifting through the content like member ratings, comments, and more. They do a good job implementing these tools, but as good as they are, they aren't perfect -- some models are listed under more than one name, there isn't much to preview a scene by without streaming the full length scenes, and categories/tags are limited to obvious ones, mostly genres, and not more specific stuff like "cum on tits" or the like.

With years of high quality DVDs to draw from, it is no surprise that the entire library here consists of scenes from their DVD series -- which you can browse by name, by the way. They include hits like Buttman, Anal Overdose, Anal Acrobats, Raw, I Wanna B A Porn Star, Anal Buffet and Filthy Anal Girls. If you are noticing that most of these have to do with ass and anal sex videos, you're right: the site and the studio seem to obsessed with ass play, gaping, licking, fucking and creampies. There are DVDs in other niches but Anal is definitely a pet favorite and a mainstay of the collection.

I won't go into detail with all of the porn stars they feature other than to say that they do in fact have over 1,500+ of them, many with multiple scenes to their credit. If your favorite girl has been in porn in the last 5 years and done anal, or if she is a popular European model, chances are quite good that she is here. You can use the tour to search for her if you have any doubts. In fact, the tour lets you sort through all of their content and is a great way to get acquainted with the sort of porn you will enjoy with a membership.

When I finally got to viewing the movies, I have to admit I was slightly disappointed but not shocked to find there were no HD movie options -- even though the site advertises that it has HD. The "HD" movies actually are 720x400 WMV downloads or 960x540 FLASH video streams. Neither are the 1280x720 resolution at which HD begins.

The downloads do look good though. Most of the movies come in the 720x400 WMV download that has a 2 mbits/s bit rate. Some older videos added more than a few years back are smaller at 640x480 pixels and with a slower bit rate. The streaming movies not in "HD" are smaller, too; they come in a 640x480 resolution as well.

Though the movies weren't HD they still look great and benefit from very high quality production settings.

There were some picture galleries here, but they are often an afterthought and should be looked on more as bonuses. Models will have galleries of them posing and strip teasing as well as having hardcore sex. The images are not high resolution, though. You cannot save galleries in zip files, either.

There were no bonus sites but the collection is added to daily, often multiple times. To celebrate the March Madness tournament that recently took place Evil Angel added over 50+ scenes in 24 hours, and other future promotions aren't out of the question.

Conclusion

Evil Angel comes up a bit average in media options but its size, quality, and variety more than make it a worthwhile pick when it comes to mega sites, anal porn, and European hardcore. The studio is making a nice transition into an online presence that offers everything that surfers have rightly grown to expect from them.

Competitors

Evil Angel is a mega site, it's a site with a big focus on ass and anal, it stars lots of hot European models... it's tough to name sites that capture all of its strong traits in the same way. Still, if you were drawn to Evil Angel, there is little doubt you'll find much to like about these other mega sites: 21 Sextury, 21 Sextreme, ZTOD, Big Butts Like it Big, and Monster Curves.
