Review summary: Razor Dolls is an alt-porn community complete with models, user profiles and message boards. And of course both photos and videos featuring the models. Not a bad site, but content quality is mediocre and there are better sites in this niche out there.

First impression

Sick of blonde-haired bimbos with spray-on tans? Tired of silicone boobs and tramp stamp tattoos? Join the club, pal — the Razor Dolls club! Why have vanilla ice cream when you can have Neapolitan? Razor Dolls is the pornographic equivalent of Neapolitan ice cream, a porn site for folks who don’t want to see tattoos on girls’ lower backs or shoulder blades, they wanna see tattoos everywhere. Razor Dolls are the kinda girls who have piercings all over their faces, hate their fathers and cut themselves just to feel something. In other words, Razor Dolls are my kind of girls.

Our opinion

Razor Dolls, with its content bar at the top of each page, is fairly easy to navigate. Currently, there are seventy-six dolls on Razor Dolls. I recognize some of these tattooed beauties from other alt-porn sites like Burning Angel, but the photos and videos of these gals on Razor Dolls are exclusive to this site.

Most dolls have at least one picture set to their names (if not three or four), though a couple o’ gals are new to the site and thus have none. The photos on Razor Dolls are mostly softcore, but there are a couple girl-girls sets mixed in with the cheesecake shots. Each set contains around fifty photos in it. The photos are average quality, though they still look pretty decent.

Currently, there are thirty-four videos on Razor Dolls. The videos document everything from solo masturbation and lesbian shenanigans to threesomes and even a six-person orgy. The videos are all full length, thus they take a very long time to load. And I’m not kidding when I say “a very long time” — go take the kids to the ice cream parlor while you wait for these fuckers to load. Thankfully, each video comes equipped with a short trailer that downloads quickly, which can be utilized to choose which clips to spend your valuable time downloading. The videos come in two formats (WMV and QuickTime) and two speeds (dialup and broadband). Downloading these clips was a nightmare in hell and, no, I am not exaggerating for effect. I had major difficulty and little success downloading videos offa this site — I actually tried to download the clips in every format and speed offered on two different computers and still had very little luck. The WMV clips would not download at all no matter what speed I chose and the two or three QuickTime videos I managed to download were herky-jerky at best (and though the QuickTime trailers worked for the most part, three or four of ‘em crashed my browser). The dialup QuickTime videos were the only ones that didn’t give me any trouble, but they are absolutely tiny — you cannot see a goddamned thing in these miniscule clips. It’s a shame the videos on Razor Dolls are so fucked up cos they looked pretty dang good and I would’ve liked to have seen more.

Like many alt-porn sites following in the footsteps of Suicide Girls, Razor Dolls isn’t just a porn site, it’s a community — members are encouraged to post on the message board and cyber-befriend other members ‘n’ models with MySpace-like profiles that give members and dolls a place to post personal photos of themselves as well as keep blogs for other folks to read. And Razor Dolls doesn’t just offer top shelf spanking material and a place to meet new friendsters, it also provides in-depth interviews with thirty-five important hard rock bands, including Anthrax, Lamb of God and Isis. The site also contains twenty tattoo galleries and twenty-five artist galleries, thus giving its members some much needed culture.

Conclusion

Fans of alt-porn will no doubt enjoy Razor Dolls, but let’s face it: Razor Dolls is a cheap knockoff of Suicide Girls (c’mon, just look at how similar the names of the sites are!) and there are plenty of other alt-porn sites (Burning Angel, Manic Jane, EroticBPM, etc.) that are doing the very same thing but ten times better. First off, this site needs to fix its videos — these hardcore clips are the only thing that separates Razor Dolls from much of the alt-pack and they can’t be easily downloaded! Secondly, the makers of Razor Dolls need to give me the home telephone number of the Asian babe who models under the name Nancy — the site can only be improved if this girl fucks me (or at least gives me a handy while the suicide girl, er, razor doll Arsen watches). Razor Dolls is a decent alt-porn site, but it could be so much better.
