When you get to My Free Cams there is no real tour or promises - just a table of cams with girls online right now that you can start viewing, mostly for free. It looks like over a thousand girls are online at any time, and the site offers a mix of free public chats, private chats, group chats, and social networking features.

First impression

My Free Cams may not look like a so-called 'premium' cam site but don't judge this book by its cover. It is in fact one of the very best cam sites, with over 1,000 models online and some of the highest quality cams available. As an unregistered guest you'll be able to explore just about everything, including sitting in on public chats and watching for free whatever that girl is up to at the moment. If you're lucky it will be just after users have tipped her enough to show some skin or masturbate!

Our opinion

My Free Cams has been running for several years now, and though its design and its name both give the site a look of being rather run of the mill, it is anything but that. This is a unique site, with great models, and a value-packed way for users to enjoy their time chatting with cam girls outside the usual private chat. Here public chats can include a lot of action, especially when the users chatting are sending lots of tips!

This will probably be the first site that actually does offer free cams - at least ones where you can actually see some skin and sex without going private. Without paying anything you have a very good chance of sitting in on topless models, totally nude babes masturbating and playing with toys, or couples exchanging oral or fucking for their tip-happy viewers.

I hear you ask: Why would a cam site and cam girl do so much for me when I'm just a free-loading hanger-on?

It's the power of the community. A cam model can be in a free, public chat and offer different things for tips or take tips collectively to reach a certain goal amount that the model sets. Maybe she says "500 tokens and I'll give a hot tease or some other treat to everyone in the room." So random people like you start throwing in their small change until she reaches the goal. Then even those in the room who haven't put up any tokens get to ride on the coattails of others and enjoy the show.

This is a lot of fun and very budget-friendly, but the real fun is in getting your own tokens.

Any cam site relies on its models first and foremost, and My Free Cams has not only a lot of girls, but great ones. You do come across a few that seem bored or don't pay attention unless you take them private, but most are really fun, smiling, and chatty even in the free public chat. I don't think it's a coincidence that the latter type of outgoing models are consistently the most popular and have hundreds of viewers sitting in on their public chats!

As for diversity, there are mostly American caucasian girls here 18-23 years old, but outside of that group are plenty of others: MILFs, Ebony babes, pregnant girls, Latinas, Lesbian couples, hot French Canadians, smoking hot redheads (check out @IsabelleRaven) and others.

The cams are excellent in quality and resolution, though there is variability. Some girls have a good quality feed that's probably coming from their built in laptop cams. Many have better gear, and you can see the difference in quality between them. Overall though I think the quality is awesome here, and the shows so engaging that you won't notice with the girls who aren't sporting the best quality cam gear anyway.

The site isn't like your average cam site. It's pretty state-of-the-art and interactive, even if it looks rather mundane aesthetically. It's hard to explain, but once you start poking around the site you'll see what I mean. The site has a ton of features actually, but it might take you a bit to find them all and then figure out how to use them. But you can look up girls on all sorts of of criteria, and models have MySpace-type profile pages to view and browse as well. You can leave messages on their wall and things like that, as well as communicate through private messages. Some girls have picture sets and videos there or tell you how to send them tokens to get copies of them sent to you.

The site looks to have a steady flow of new girls signing up. That's probably because unlike other sites that give girls 20% or less of what they earn from users, My Free Cams gives them 50% or more. It's in the model's favor to hang out with you on this cam site rather than another. In general those attractive payment terms have brought a lot of experienced as well as first-time cam models out to give the site a try.

Conclusion

My Free Cams really impressed me, and not only because it does actually provide free cams! You can see a lot of live, naked, sexy action online here without spending anything, but the real fun begins once you have some tokens and make yourself a premium member for life in the process. Then you can get into group chats, private chats, and tip in public chats to help the common-cause (people tip together to get the model naked, in the shower, etc). Overall a really nice site, but its feature-rich website can be a bit overwhelming at times, at least until you get the hand of it.
