First impression

After being auto-navigated through two introductory pages, I finally arrived on a page with numerous thumbnails of online models.

The page consisted of endless rows of model thumbnails. Each thumbnail represented an online model. At the time of my visit 498 models were available for nude live chatting. A very impressive number and all the models seemed to be sexy amateur chicks. Most in the 18-25 years of age bracket.

I am going to say right now before we go any further that this cam site is different from others in the genre. I strongly suggest reading MyFreeCams Wiki since it would take an entire review just to mention all the unique features. I will touch upon anything that directly relates to important functions, like getting a model naked. Now with that out of the way, let's proceed to the naughty bits.

Our opinion

Finding a model isn't very difficult. One thing to do is scroll through the thumbnails as soon as the page loads. If you can't find a hot one, refresh the page and do it again. If you want more direction, you can click the "Filter/Sort Models" button on the same line as the total number of online models. This filter isn't very comprehensive, however. It lets you either choose "Hide" or "Show Only" models from specific regions (e.g., Africa). It also lets you alter how the models are listed. Do you want small or large images? Do you want the list sorted alphabetically? There are other options, too, but they aren't very earth-shattering. Hair color and breast size would be some nice additions, to name a few. And apparently there are so many Asian girls that they had their own menu item.

So when you find that hot thumbnail, you can go straight to her nude video chat or you can opt to see her profile or send her a private message. I always suggest viewing her profile to find out more about her personality. You will find a relatively detailed profile that may or may not be completely customized by the model. Some reminded of a Myspace page with embedded youtube videos and other stuff like that. The profiles have a calendar, but it might not be filled out or accurate. There are two sections for images. The locked albums require a password from the girl. To get this password, you have to tip the model for the price that she set. The non-nude ones can be viewed freely. If you want to leave a public note, you can also post text or pictures on her message wall.

Now that you have found a sexy model, you probably can't wait to see her naked, right? Well, keep your pants on for just a bit longer. If the model of your choice is available for chat, you can simply click the photo and you are taken to the free chat. If your model is currently busy in a private chat, it is shown on the thumbnail. Also if she is in a group chat.

In the free chat, you can freely see her video feed and communicate. Models typically don't get fully naked in their free room, but they will put on shows here for tips. Mellanny, for example, was standing naked in front of her shower, rubbing cream on her tits. She was laughing and having a good time. Members would tip her, and she would thank them.

Group shows are non-exclusive live shows that cost money (10 tokens per minute).

A private show is where only you and the model communicate. These cost 60 tokens per minute. All private shows are automatically archived so you can view them again and again.

Regardless of what you choose, the chat room layout will be the same. In the upper-left, you will see the video feed. The default size is 320x240px. It can be enlarged to 480x360px by clicking the "Big Video" link. You can adjust the volume or completely mute the sound. Audiovisual quality is largely dependent on individual equipment. In the middle of the room is the chat. Right of that is the list of users. There are other navigation buttons, such as buttons that let you visit the next or previous online model.

Finally let's sum up the memberships available here. Simply visiting the site gives you Guest privileges. That still means that you can chat with the model, but your text is shown in smaller font and therefore likely to be ignored by the model. A Basic membership simply means that you have registered a free account with your email. This gives you a larger font in chat rooms and access to more features. A Premium membership means that you have at some point purchased tokens. Even if you only bought the smallest amount of tokens, you will still enjoy lifetime Premium membership privileges.

Conclusion

My Free Cams is a good place to find some free live interaction. You are not required to spend any money and can chat with the models and even see their free shows without ever spending a dime. If you find someone particularly interesting, you can take her into a private show for 1 token per second. All shows are archived and you can watch it over and over again.
The whole site has a lot of similarities to social networks and seems very active. There are a lot different models. Technical quality is not too impressive, though, and the lackluster filtering options leaves something to be desired.
