First impression

Figure Baby is a site dedicated to producing top-notch erotic art. The tour boasts that all original content is shot in the spirit of fun. A once over of the stellar tour images certainly lay weight to that claim. One can't help but get a truly genuine vibe that these babes are enjoying themselves.

Is art not your thing? No worries. The tour mentions a more 'erotic' part of the site, which to me equates to more explicit action. While there's no hint of this in the teaser material, the member's area may tell a very different story. Let's have a look, shall we?

Our opinion

Finding your way around FigureBaby is a real no-brainer. The main menu, which sits atop the member's area page, has all the bare necessities: Updates, Photos, Models, Prints, Links, and Customer Support; no needless bells or whistles to distract you from the dick at hand.

The only real flaw I can see with the layout is the lack of a "Home" button. It took me a few seconds to figure it out, but the 'Updates' button leads you back to the main page. While this isn't a major problem on its own, I can see it becoming quite annoying for coked up sex fiends who are dying to bust a nut.

Seductive images of gorgeous models greet you mid-way down the page. A quick head count reveals a meager total of eighteen girls. Thankfully the quality of these babes somewhat makes up for the shabby attendance rate.

Ada Rose, probably my favorite of all the models, is one of those fortunate souls who totally embodies everything glamorous and out of reach. She has the face of a movie star. Not a Cameron Diaz or Scarlett Johansson, mind you. Her look is much more akin to the beautiful starlets of bygone eras; classic beauties of the twenties and thirties. It also doesn't hurt that she's a real natural at pulling off erotically charged poses.

If you came here looking for hardcore action, you'll surely end up leaving in disappointment. To describe the content here as mild would be an understatement. There are no cum shots, lesbians, or double penetrations.

The majority of the archive consists of softcore solo sets. The photographer does a tremendous job of highlighting the inherent artistic beauty of the female body whilst managing to not lose that steamy sexual "edge." Sets are mostly a mix of your typical studio rigs and what appears to be an apartment bedroom.

The layout for the galleries is pretty uniform: each set is also accompanied by descriptions letting you know what happened during the set, as well as a keen insight into just exactly what was going on in the photographer's mind.

From what I can see, the site updates every 2-3 days, and has been doing so since late November, 2007. As of now there are 152 photo sets, containing a combined 11,680 individual shots in total.

Users are offered the choice of three different resolutions: Small (533x800 pixels), Normal (1067x1600), and large (1600x2400). Fortunately, they're all stunning.

Every picture is well lit and the overall quality is superb. I haven't noticed one botched or blurry shot yet. I just love that they don't go for that glossy, airbrushed, magazine-esque look. These pics have a beautiful "rawness" about them; every detail is captured masterfully. Even the small resolutions pics are clear and crisp! There are no compromises in quality here.

It's also worth mentioning that FigureBaby has its own blog. In addition to being both well-written and regularly updated, it also contains some of the site's trademark dazzling photography.

All in all, it's hard to fault this site. My only beef would be the fact that the tour contained the words "Highest Quality Video." I browsed this site quite a bit, but there only seems to be two or three interview videos, which might not have been what you expected. But this is of course primarily a photography site.

Conclusion

Figure Baby is one of those sites that really skirts that fine line between pornographic and erotic. The lack of bonus material, relatively small number of models, and overall softcore nature of the content will almost assuredly scare the hardcore porn watchers away.

If artistic, sensual photos of the highest aesthetic quality are your thing though, then this site may well be your holy grail. But whilst it comes highly recommended for serious connoisseurs of the female form, the average porn Joe will find little meat to get his teeth into.
