First impression

Club International was a 1970s gentlemen's magazine that used to sit on the top shelf in newsagents' shops. It became so popular they started a version in the USA, and years later, started their own website, Club Magazine. That's what we have here, a collection of original videos and magazines you could call 'classic', and a site that holds a fair amount of its own videos. It also comes with access to Swank, giving you 18 other sites to check out, and it's currently being offered at a reduced price. $14.95 gets you access to everything.

Our opinion

Intro
Club Magazine is pretty large on its own, but as it comes as part of Swank Pass, you get a load more porn for your reduced-price membership. Looking at the magazine's content, you find a combination of hardcore, solo and lesbian videos, some of which do have that classic look. That's a kind of polite way of saying they might be pretty old, but some are at 720p HD, and there's a good number of them. Members find a template interface which holds all kinds of handy navigation tools, a set of movies, photos and a model index, plus the bonus sites. these work in the same way, and there's also a link into Magna Digital for a heap of online magazines, Club Special being one of them. It's all got a 'girlie mag' feel, though it's not just solo glamour girls, but hardcore too, and the site has been updating.

Content
Club Magazine now has 969, and 1,675 photo sets, updates have been coming in. You find the content by finding the site from a drop-down list of 20, and from there, you've got standard, numbered index pages to take you through the collection. Be prepared for some short five-minute clips in low resolution when you go right back to the early days, and some are streaming-only, but when you hit on the more modern movies, you can find them for download in Mp4 at up to 1,280 x 720 and 720 x 480. There are some WMV files from time to time, and movies can run for up to 30 minutes. They are shown simply, often with no descriptions, and only one streaming option, though there are various speeds to run movies in. The quality is not always the best.

There are then your 1,675 galleries, and here the images tend to be sharper than the older videos, and 2,993 x 2,043 in size or larger. Galleries hold various amounts of images each, some have loads, and there are easy online viewing tools, plus zip files. Movies have screencaps with them, but these galleries were mainly digital shots that looked great, and again, they are a mix of solo and hardcore. You will find a choice of image size when viewing online, and the default setting often brings images too large to fit on the screen.

Navigation
Running on a well-trusted template design, Club Magazine gives you plenty of search and sort options, plus interactive functions. You will find links to a calendar of updates, news and blog pages, a private messaging service and a drop-down list of all sites included in your membership. The main menu consists of links to the videos, photos the DVD section (this site doesn't have any, but other sites do), and a bonus section that currently doesn't hold any content. The link to the magazines offers you over 20 titles each with its own number of editions, and you'll need Flash Player installed to run them. This opens in a new tab, so there's no getting lost, and the bonus sites open within your screen, so you don't need to log in.

Members can rate, comment and add scenes to a favourites area, so all the interactive options are there, you have a site/network-wide category list and an advanced search page that's very detailed. I had no technical issues with the site.

Extras
Now back to those bonuses. There are 18 sites here including Club Magazine and the Swank network hub, and among your titles, you find Genesis, Gent, Cheri Magazine and Velvet. The whole network adds up to 5,748+ videos and over 12,775 photo sets that feature around 6,250 models. There are also 363 + full-length DVDs in the Swank Pass area. As I said each site opens in the same window and the same design, apart from the header banner, and so you soon get used to where things are and how they work.

Conclusion

Club Magazine holds some pretty old content reminiscent of what you saw in top-shelf magazines, though now in moving pictures. It's a collection of a successful magazine's content, the photos are stronger than the videos, but the quality of movies is acceptable, and updates have been happening. There is a large stock of gentlemen's magazines available for online viewing, and masses of bonus videos and galleries in your Swank Pass network. You're certainly getting excellent value for money, and you're going to find a load of varied porn, pinups and glamour babes, and all for a very reasonable price.

Competitors

I don't know about you, but when I was trawling the top shelves for some wank mags, I always came across things called Readers Wives and Forum. But then, there was Hustler.

Hustler is a site built fro a magazine that's gone viral, global, wild… call it what you will. At this site, you now find over 12,380 movies of around 25 minutes each, full HD at 1080p, and over 2,900 photosets. There are 16 sites included in this membership where the best of the magazine's style is shown on pages crammed with classic pinup babes and glamour models, though there's plenty of hardcore too.

The other classic top-shelf mag is, of course, Penthouse, and over at Penthouse Gold you're going to find its classic style represented with hot models appearing in over 3,390 videos and 2,600 + galleries. You're not exactly looking at a magazine here, you don't have to turn pages, but the girls sure turn heads, and the quality is perfect.
