First impression

Trannie Pass has a fresh looking, almost web 2.0 feel member's area. It's bright and clean, with a prominent search box and categories listing, and plenty of delicious looking trannies that look like they're up to no good. There's a small navigation bar at the top for favorites, models, and a few upsells. The latest updates, highest rated, and upcoming updates tempt you in the main content section.

Our opinion

A nice site design certainly made me optimistic as I started looking through Trannie Pass. The search box is handy, and the drop down for model names was also nice to have. What I really appreciated as far as the layout was the fact that they have all of their material divided up into 12 categories. You have your standard shemale porn such as Latina and Asian, but they've also included a few more esoteric selections like MILF shemales and big tit trannies.

It looks like Trannie Pass updates once a week – a bit off from their twice a week update schedule promised on the tour. The site also gives the impression of being a lot bigger than it actually is – there are 78 sets in total. If you're browsing through the categories, you'll notice that sets appear in multiple categories. So this is where they lose out on their other big tour claim, which was the 'largest collection of shemales on the web'. It does look like the material is exclusive, although you will recognize such shemale stars as Fernanda Rodriguez and Suzanne Raul.

The main focus is on the videos, and like the site, they have a very clean design to the movie page. There are two different formats you can enjoy Trannie Pass movies in. First there's WMV in streaming and downloadable form, and then there's the Flash video. A quick description covers the scene, and a nice thumb invites you into the naughty shemale's world. The Flash video buffers quickly and is decent quality at 640x480, perfect if you want to get into the action right away. Both WMV versions are the same quality – 640x480 and 768 kbps. The size is average, but that bitrate is pretty low compared to most and it shows. The videos are lengthy at around 30 minutes each, and they have a somewhat amateur feel as far as lighting and camera work.

Each video also has a full photo set associated with it. It's nice to see care taken to get actual photos as opposed to just pulling screencaps, and it's one of the few things that sets Trannie Pass apart from other shemale porn mega sites. There are an average of 50 photos per set, and while that might sound like a relatively small set size, the quality is going to knock you back a bit – 2592x3888. The actual quality of the photos could be a little bit better – they aren't as crisp as I was expecting at that size – but overall they are good. There are no zip downloads, although you do get a handy multi speed slideshow.

Trannie Pass tries to pass itself off as a shemale porn megasite, and it falls flat with that. It's just too small to support a claim like that, and although there are 12 different categories of shemale porn you're lucky if you get 10 sets for most of them. While they've only been live for a few months at this point, they are more than dwarfed by more established shemale megasites, and are going to need some serious growth to catch up.
