Male Porn Pass lets you know right away that you're getting more than 30 sites once you join up, and they have plenty of enticing guys that are going to make you want to whip your dick out and come over for a visit right away. Thousands of hot clips is the other claim that they're making, and it certainly sounds like a realistic one when you're looking at that many different sites.

The member's area has a pretty standard looking layout, with navigation running along the top, a Flash video that welcomes members, and the sites that come within the network. The featured one is right up top, and the most popular are right underneath that. Finally you have a selection of videos that are given, most likely the most popular (as it does not appear that these are the latest updates).

Our opinion

So far, Male Porn Pass looks like your typical megasite - and there's enough of those floating around that it's hard to get excited with just that to go on. You have two ways to get around the content collection - you can go site by site, or you can choose to go through all videos and all galleries. Going by site is not really a smooth process, as you have to manually log in from site to site. Plus it turns out that they all share the same amount of content, with the theme relevant stuff put to the front of each niche themed site.

There are 1,410 videos in total, and they're pretty vigilant with getting an update out every day. The niches range throughout the collection, and give you pretty much every type of gay porn that you're after. The video pages give you the name of the DVD, who is in it, categories, studios, update day, and description. What it doesn't give you is the ability to click on through any of those, which is a feature that is pretty much a staple on every other large scale DVD based site that I've been on. With that said, let's check out the viewing options.

First things first - this is a streaming only site, so you'll need to keep that in mind. They do have a nice looking player that allows you to use screenshots underneath the 720x480 viewing area in order to jump around. The videos are around 20 - 30 minutes long depending on the scene, and you can view them with three different bitrates. They are 256 kbps, 512 kbps, and 2 mbps. The top end video is very good quality, and the lower options allow you to tailor the streaming to your connection speed. Overall it's above average for what you get with streaming players. Other scenes from the DVD are listed off to the side so you don't have to search around for them, and related videos are right underneath.

There are 820 photo galleries as well, and they're actual photo shoots. If you're in the mood for something in between the videos, you'll want to stop by here. The gallery setup is set up in Flash, and they look okay at 640x480, although the quality varies from set to set. The gallery controls are nice with the slideshow, but the way they have it you are unable to save any of the photos. Since this is a large megasite, the only extra is the blog, which features some nice entries.

Conclusion

Male Porn Pass is not a bad site, but it's hard to compete with other gay porn DVD sites on the market when you don't offer any downloads. With that said, their streaming qualities are nice, and the collection is large and update daily. There are some features that they need to add that are pretty common to this site type, so a bit of TLC will really help them out bigtime.
