First impression

From the outside, the site looks like it'll be very nice with some professional stuff. Inside is a different matter as the look and style of the whole thing changes. I'm sure the content is the same, but it looks like something out of the early days of internet when frames were the biggest thing around. Until I see good content, I'm not won over. I don't know if this acts like Penthouse photographer Hank Londoner's official page, but his stuff should be high quality.

What Do We Think of Pink Fever

When you first enter the site, your monitor will be inundated with bright red (not pink, like you might expect from the title). It's a little blinding, but if you squint hard enough, you'll see a long list of categories on the left hand side to pick from. What you pick will open up on the right, or if you want to open it in a new window, it'll look fine that way, too. The first option will give you larger thumbnail image associated with each gallery type as well as show you what the latest updates were/will be.

Your choices are as follows: Singles (solo sets), Girls on Girls, Guys and Girls (this is the hardcore section), fresh faces (early sets of recognizable names), flashback, exotic women, beach babes, women at work, new girls, wet and wild, women on wheels, country girls, private parts, legs for days, fever faves, fever fantasies and special features. Special features include Classic Chloe files (featuring Chloe Jones early sets), penthouse pix, money shots, and bloopers. There are also video files and other stuff.

When you choose a category, it opens up a page that shows a small montage of representative pictures, which convieniently opens up into their respective photo sets. Followed by a two column list of all the photo sets available. Each gallery is given a number followed by the model's name. I don't know the purpose of the number system outside of their own records, but I guess it's nice to have.... Each set is given a tiny, nearly indistinguishable thumbnail image to help guide your decision. I would have preferred multiple pages with bigger thumbnails if it comes down to it. Also, the newest sets aren't usally at the top. They're marked with flashing red "new" text. Scroll down and you'll find them. They could make the hunt non-existent, though.

Once you click on a set, you're brought to the first of several pages containing extremely tiny thumbnail images. You can't even tell what the people look like. Evidently, they did this so people wouldn't have to scroll down on a gallery page, but I don't know what would be so bad about wanting to see what you might be looking at. When you're on the gallery pages, the navigation system is pretty good. At the top, breakdown the steps you took to get to where you are and you can go back as many steps as you desire. Once you click on a photo, it opens up in a new window. Finally, the size is decent. The photography is very professional and well done, but definitely looks dated at times. Besides the flashback section, nothing's too old to be off-putting.

Some of the photography is dark or seemingly underexposed, but I like the look of it. The backgrounds and lighting are well done and all of the girls act professionally WITH the camera. The resolution is very nice as well. It's not too big to overload your monitor or to not fit it, but it's not too small to make you want more. The detail is clear and very little gradients or digital texturing can be seen.

I like that the site offers a quick jump menu. This way if you do open a gallery index in a new window, you can jump to another category right away without finding your way back to the member main page. It's just a little added convenience that goes a long way. I should also mention that if you want to navigate by model name, then go to the single's section and that's where you can search by model first name.

All of the picture sets work about the same way. I like the breadth of categories and the varience in models, I just wish the thumbnails were bigger to save me some time. So, on to the videos. The video section is divided into two sections. The early pages contain the smaller clips of 30-60 seconds. The later pages have 3-8 minute videos. Each page contains four models/videos to choose from. I'd like to see a few more per page, but at least you can see what you're about to download here. Another feature I really like is that if the girl has more videos, they let you know it and tell you which pages to look. You can also link to their photo galleries. Each file is given a short description and tells you the file size, but not the running time for some reason. You can navigate to a specific model with the drop down menu at the top. I hate the design in this section. It's really ugly and outdated to me. It hurts the professionalism of the site.

As for the quality, it's not horrible. It's about medium or so -- pretty pixelated. It's not very crisp, but it's shot well. You can tell that the reason it looks worse than it has to is due to the compression rate. They choose to play music over the scenes instead of us hearing the girls moan or talk. I think this is a mistake. The music they choose is nice. The editing works. The camerawork is superior to most of the websites I've seen to date. The compression lets you down.

The site also gives you the basic rundown of links, tech support, etc. It also gives you a message board. The format is very basic and pretty nasty looking again. Maybe I'm just opposed to the muddy orange background. The questions seem to be responded to regularly and pretty quickly. Possibly my favorite section is the bloopers section. A lot of sites offer this and when they do, they're just reject pictures that aren't interesting or funny. Here, it's different. You can see the models picking their nose or see where the camera clicked at just the wrong moment. Some of them are pretty funny and they all add a bit of personality to the guys and girls being shot. I like that. It's probably not for everyone.

Final Thoughts on Pink Fever

There's a lot of stuff here. The girls look good and there's plenty of varience within them. Although, keep in mind, they are all penthouse quality, so you won't see an amatuerish look. I love the many different categories of pictures, I just wish they were a little bit easier to see. The videos were slightly disappointing as well. But overall, it's worth a look-through.
