First impression

Private Classics features rare and unpublished photo sets from Private Magazine. Started in 1965, this magazine has quite a variety of hardcore and kinky photos of the hot babes of the times (i.e., 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s). For the first time ever, the complete Private Magazine Archive, since 1965, is being presented online for fans of retro porn.

Our opinion

Super simple navigation is what you'll find once you enter. It's as easy as flipping through the magazine itself! You'll see menu options of: Private Classics '60s; Private Classics '70s; Private Classics '80s; and Private Classics Extras. There are also some links to Shop, Bonus (porn apps for your smartphone, and a 3D adult game), Specials, Live, and Dating. There's also a handy drop down menu of the various Private Magazine editions, as well as a few editions to Pirate (fetish magazine), Triple X (movie reports), and Sex (new talent and porn stars). The home page also features a dozen of the latest updates displayed in good sized thumbnails. Unfortunately, I don't know how often the site is updated since there are no dates noted.

The site is virtually brand new at the time of this review, and so far there are 20 photo sets from the 1960s category, 20 from the 1970s, and around 20 from the 1980s. (You don't even have to look at the dates to tell these are from the 1980s - what with all that big poofy hair!) The Extras contains at least a couple sets I saw in the previous categories, so I'm not sure why they're called "extras." Below these few extras, you'll see a hand full of magazine archives from Extras. This is where a lot of bonus pictures are. It could have been displayed better, so make sure you scroll down. Click on any of the cover photos, and you'll be treated to a set of photos that contain over 100 pictures.

The photo galleries are zip downloadable, and you'll definitely want to take advantage of that. That's because the quality of the photos is usually very good. Some might not be all that crystal clear due to the lighting outdoors but, for the most part, these are very good, especially when you consider that these pictures are taken from magazine photos and not live shooting.

At any rate, the pictures open to various sizes, such as 1540x3200, 2149x3200, 3200x2104, and 3200x3196 pixels. The "extras" generally contain smaller pictures, like 582x830 pixels. The amount of photos in each set varies widely. The ones I saw (excluding the "extras") contained from between 1 to 60 pictures. There's also a handy featured that shows other layouts from that magazine's edition if you want to peruse through that magazine more, instead of clicking on the drop down menu.

There are no movies inside Private Classics. But there is a nice variety of nudity and hardcore action in Private Classics. You'll see more softcore pictures like solo nude posing in the outdoors, but there's a large amount of hardcore. There are some fetish scenes, and you'll also see some extreme close ups of, for instance, sex toys/balls being pulled out of an ass. The close up is so extreme and high quality that you can see everything, and I do mean everything! Other action includes threesomes, cock sucking, anal sex, double penetration (including mouth and pussy, and ass and pussy), lesbians, and facials.

You'll usually see lots of babes with all natural breasts, though some of the newer ones may have some silicone. There's also a good amount of hairy pussies, but also a good amount of shaved. Just think of these as magazines from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, and you'll get the idea of how more natural the women looked back then.

What I would like to see is a menu of the porn stars and models who are in these photo layouts. Some of these ladies had a huge fan base, so I'm sure their fans would like a handy way of seeking them out in this Private Classics archive.

Conclusion

Private Classics is a great site if you miss the magazine and want to have your own digital collection of it. It's also a very good site for those who are a fan of porn from the mid-1960s through the 1980s.

The quality of the content itself is very good. The archive is decent enough, though I'm not sure how often the site is updated due to no dates being noted. Additionally, navigation is very easy and there's a nice variety of babes and softcore and hardcore activity being presented in these classic porn photos. All in all, this is a pretty good site to join for retro porn fans.
