The design of the members page is not only elegant and efficient, but it's user-friendly to boot. It also doesn't hurt that the page is adorned with the covers of 2,266 DVDs. That comes out to a whopping 8,519 scenes! Not bad, eh?

And they have paid attention to movies' aspect ratios meaning you won't get scenes where the picture is stretched one way or the other.

The same goes for the material itself. While the bulk of it isn't original -- which is to be expected with an online DVD house -- it's certainly of superb quality. And it sure as hell beats going to a local adult rental shop.

All too often with these sorts of sites, you get sucked in purely by the amount of material that's on offer. What's nice about American Vice, however, is that the material is generally from reputable and high quality studios. Sure, there are a few duds in the pack, but with that many DVDs around you can't satisfy expect every single one to be perfect.

Another major plus is the frequency of updates, which occur of once daily; normally, that'd be all too easy for a big site like this to rest on their laurels. But the fact that they're consistently adding fresh content, it's almost enough to bring a tear to my eye. Especially since the highly efficient search feature makes browsing it as painless as possible. All in all, American Vice may not be the largest DVD house online, but for the product it's offering and the price it's going for, it's hard to beat.
