First impression

Tranny Box has all sorts of grand claims on its tour, such as “The World's Greatest Tgirl Collection” that I'm quite interested to see if they manage to back up. The tgirls on display are gorgeous and tend to jump between established and up and coming pornstars, and amateur trannies who look quite at home on camera.

The member's area has a modern layout, with a search box, categories, model directory and sections to use for navigation. The latest updates are right down the middle, so while this is a shemale DVD site, it feels more like your standard porn site than a massive DVD repository. You have plenty of options to get around the site, but not so many that the main page is overwhelming at first glance.

Tranny Box's content is a large collection of DVDs, as you have probably gathered just from a first glance at the site. You get 1,920 scenes and 25,000 photos in total, giving you plenty of hot tranny action to check out. The massive list of categories indicates that you certainly aren't going to have a problem finding some specific tranny action to check out no matter what you're in the mood for. While the updates are not specifically dated, it does appear as though this site updates often.

The video pages have a prominent streaming player to start you off with. The photos are displayed under that, then you have the description and model name. The download and streaming options are separated into two different sections. You can get a high or low resolution download of the video, shown at 720x480 and 2 mbps and 480x320 and 1 mbps. Both are given in WMV format, full scene only. The streaming videos give you four different options, provided in WMV format, to match your format speeds. Some of the streaming videos do go a bit higher than the downloads in quality, up to 960x540. The scene lengths tend to be about 15 minutes long, taken from larger DVDs. You can choose to browse through the DVDs specifically, or just go through the scene categories. The quality varies overall depending on the DVD, but generally it's above average tranny action.

Unlike many DVD centric sites, Tranny Box has plenty of photo content to keep you still picture lovers happy as well. The photo section is completely separate from the videos, and are not specifically associated with particular DVDs, although you'll see plenty of shemale pornstars you'll recognize from the selections. The photo sets range from about 30 photos to 150. The galleries are pretty simple compared to the video pages, but the photos are professional quality and shown at 800x1200.

Conclusion

Tranny Box is a solid tranny hardcore DVD site with a lot to offer. While the update schedule is not publicized, the updates come at a frequent pace and the layout is very well done. It's not exactly the most personable site, as it is fairly straightforward, but you're getting a lot for your money.
