First impression

Keds are a long-lived and dependable brand of shoes that may soon graduate to the level of timeless classic. Their popularity has maintained for nearly a century, showing virtually no signs of waning. All one has to do to spot a pair is take a trip to a local coffee shop or college campus -- or any other location where the young and hip gather. Our opinion

The Members Area layout a real plain-jane, and if it weren't for the thumbnail images displaying recent updates, you'd be hard-pressed at identifying what sort of site this is at all.

Menu options are arranged vertically, on the left-hand side of the page, and are fairly self explanatory: Home, Refresh Site, Search, Keds-Fetish, Member Gallery, Member Sets, and Story Library.

The layout would, in fact, would be all but forgettable were it not for notice at the bottom of the page informing members that they're subjected to a daily bandwidth quota. 1500 Megabytes, to be precise.

While this is admittedly quite a bummer, I wouldn't say it's a major cause for concern, as it only applies to streaming videos. Downloading the files directly appears to have no ill effect on the quota, whatsoever. A porn site having a cap on bandwidth isn't all that uncommon (though it's usually not advertised) but I can't help but find it off-putting so see one this low. Especially so when the videos buffer as smoothly as these.

Speaking of videos, by my count there are currently 141. While that's surely more than enough to keep even the most hardened porn addict busy for a good while, when you consider the fact that they've been doing this for nearly a decade, it feels a little disappointing. A quick scan of of the archives reveals that some years they only managed to update the videos section as little as three times.

Resolutions and formats vary, but the current trend seems to be WMVs with a resolution of 640x480, and a bitrate of just under 800 KBPS. Running times also vary but lean towards the short end of the stick, with many videos split up into a series of 4 four minute clips. Don't expect Hollywood lighting and award winning camerawork, either. These babies look gritty and are shot in an amateurish style. But that's not to say it detracts from the content. On the contrary, I think it gives it a bit of character and hint of realism that's often lacking in more expensive productions.

Production values aside, it's not every day you visit a shoe fetish site with such a diverse selection of models. I've seen everything from trannies and punk rockers, to Nubian princesses and the busty cheerleaders. It doesn't matter if you're a chubby chaser of a MILF addict, they've got you covered.

Unlike the videos, the picture section hasn't been neglected in the least. In fact, there's an abundance of photos here. A conservative estimate would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 700 sets and according to the webmaster the total photo count is 52,000. Image quality and resolution has improved tremendously since 2001. Older updates contained photographs with resolutions as low as 450x600, while newer, high-res images have resolutions as large as 1200x1600 pixels. That's what I call progress.

One thing the two sections do have in common, however, is wickedly delightful diversity. One gallery might contain shots of a girl fully nude -- save for her Keds -- and spread eagle with a mischievous grin on their face, while others are exclusively shots of shoed feet. Hell, there are even sets that contain nothing except pictures of plastic tubs, filled to the brim with filthy, worn-out Keds.

That's not all, folks! The site also features a "Members Gallery," where users can submit heir own kinky photos and videos. Some of them were surprisingly good, going as far as to rival the site's own original content.

I also noted there were quite a few submissions from homosexual males. Maybe the admin can take this as a hint that more gay-oriented pictures and videos would be a wise move in future updates.

Conclusion

Though I was initially turned off by the bandwidth cap, I would still, with a completely clear conscience, recommend Keds-Fetish to anyone with a sneaker fetish. In an oft-neglected genre, it's refreshing to see a site stick to its niche so vehemently. The action and model types range dramatically, appealing to a wide audience, but the content always manages to stay focused on shoe-play and worship.

Watching these videos really gives you a sense these guys care about pleasing their users and aren't just in it for the dollar. In an industry rife with scammers and quick buck artists, that's saying a lot.
