Review summary: XonDemand is a decent VOD site. 42,000 titles are claimed to be available, but streaming formats seem a bit inconsistent and the simple interface might be too simple for some, since you don't get an overview of the scenes in each movie. Overall a VOD site with a large selection, but also some flaws.

First impression

XonDemand was created to provide a sense of freedom and flexibility in how much you pay for that online porn kick. It doesn't tie you down to a flat, monthly fee; on the contrary, it charges you you according to your own personal viewing habits. And what better way judge than by how long it takes you to get off?

Basically, you can purchase blocks of prepaid minutes which never expire. As with commodity, you get them the cheapest when buying in bulk. This seems like a novel concept, especially for you thrifty individuals who can cum at will, and I can't wait to see how well this site pulls it off.

Our opinion

When you first log in the center of the member's page is taken up with your account info: A DVD favorites list, account history, current number of minutes and of course - the option to purchase more.

The layout sports a baby blue color scheme, is well designed, and doesn't suffer from any of the common navigational hiccups that plague most sites; in addition, the simplistic, user-friendly interface ensures that you should have no difficulties finding your way around. On the other hand, some might find the lack of advanced options a drawback.

Topping the page is a menu with three 5 options: Straight(31), Gay(21), Lesbian(19), Fetish(14) and Voyeur(7). In case you're wondering what those numbers represent, it's how many sub categories are listed. You see, depending on which one of these you choose, it can affect the number of niches present widely. As you can see above, the straight has thirty-one niches whilst the voyeur category has only a meager seven.

On the left-hand side of the page you'll find a menu that contains thirty-one categories. They range widely from more innocent ones like 'classics' to the more racy 'double penetration'.

Running your mouse over a category allows you to view a drop-down menu. From this menu you can choose either the original category alone, or coupled with any other niche from the list, e.g., amateur+double penetration, black+classics, etc....

Unfortunately, it's not all that accurate; for instance, I was browsing amateur+gang bangs and came upon a video which, while quite hot, had no gang bang scenes. In fact, it didn't even have gang-bang listed under its categories.

Another thing that some might not like, is the fact that no movies are divided into scenes. That means you will have to skip through the moview, not knowing what to expect. This costs valuable time.

On a side note: if you want to get a more clear picture of what the layout is like, look no further than the tour. Pretty much everything is left out in the open.

I was impressed with how well the videos play here. You have the option of loading them in either a very high quality WMV file, or varying qualities, catering to a wide range of connection speeds (56k, 128k, 384k, and 512k) in the Real Player format.

Unfortunately some titles are only available in Real Player streaming with 512k bitrate as the highest option. Apparently there is no system to which movies are available in which formats. Just cross your fingers...

But even with the highest quality options, the streaming is effortless. It took about 5 seconds for a movie to load, and about the same amount of time for it to restart when I tried fast-forwarding/rewinding.

Once the videos loaded up there were no hiccups. It was comparable to watching a movie on my television; in addition, the visual quality was excellent. Admittedly, the lower options (56k and 128k) are about as muddy as it gets, but hey - that's to be expected, right?

I think you'll be very happy with the content here. The selection is diverse and the wide variety of niches really ensures that there'll be something for almost everyone.

One of my personal favorites can be found in their amateur section. It was from a series called called 'Porno Home Movies'. Basically, they're amateur sex tapes mailed from different people throughout the US. Anyway, one scene especially caught my eye. It had a young, petite, raven-haired girl giving oral sex to a grotesquely out of shape younger fellow. I might add, there's a lovely female ejaculation shot. I can't get enough of the raunchy stuff. Very hot!

I was careful to keep track of how many minutes used vs how many minutes the site said I had left. The numbers matched up just fine; though, the minute counter does seem to have a bit of delay before refreshing. I also tried pausing a video for several minutes to see if it'd count towards my minutes and it didn't.

Conclusion

All in all, I can't find a lot of major faults in XonDemand. The selection is diverse, high quality, and streams effortlessly. Some videos are only available in lower quality though, scenes are not indexed and navigation is simple but lacks options.

This is a decent choice though, for those of you who don't jerk off often, or don't have time to watch an entire full-length porno film in the process. Recommended for all you quick-draw artist out there.
