First impression

Presenting old porn movies seems to be en vogue at the moment - and Golden Hardcore jumps on the bandwagon. The names indeed read like the who-is-who of classic porn. The movies are in old analogue quality, but the action can absolutely keep it up with porn from today!

Our opinion

No doubt, this is mainly a video site - and is meant to be. As promised it is concentrating exclusively on old porn movies. I think most of these movies are from the 1980's with a few from the 70's and 90's among them. And, boy, do these ladies' names ring a special bell for you like they do for me? I already mentioned a few above, but that's by far not all: Houston, Victoria Paris, Kimberly Kupps, Trinity Loren, Candy Stripes and many more. Also the old classic male fuckers like John Holmes, Paul Thomas, the young Ron Jeremy and of course many more are there.

The action is very much like it is in today's porn films: Fucking in all possible positions, threesomes, sandwiches, anal, orgies, blowjobs and so on. My impression is that modern porn has not really added much to the action during half a generation. But there are two interesting differences worth mentioning (of course besides the changes in style of clothing and hair): Fake tits as lots of modern porn starlets have, were not known. It was all natural - smaller tits when the girls had them (like Nina Hartley) and bigger tits the way they were grown. Second the compelete shaving of pubic hair was not very common - only a few ladies were shaved but the majority definitely not.

As promised, the site offers 66 movie scenes at the moment, a number that is still increasing. Each movie is available in three sizes - best quality, good quality and fast download (=low quality). In the best quality the files have a full resolution of 640x480 pixel, bitrates of ~200 KB/s and filesizes up to 400 MB with playtimes of 20-25 minutes. The high resolution is only a little bit smaller and lower quality than the best ones. The smallest size only has a resolution of 320x240 (hey guys, that's still the original VHS resolution) with filesizes of a 1/4 of the big file. The bigger movies have a real good picture quality for an analogue source, but the older and smaller ones look indeed very "VHS" to me.

The pictures (which actually were announced as screen captures taken from the movies presented) are as poor as pictures from any analogue video source will be. There are quite a lot of them (over 5000 at the moment), but I consider this to be only an addition to the movies because of their low quality.

The site is a member of the Hardcore Network. This is indeed not mere bonus stuff, but means there are quite a lot of sites (20 to be exact) included with a membership to Golden Hardcore. And the level of these sites also is higher than most bonus sites, they each have a value a little bit like Golden Hardcore. And "Hardcore Network" is indeed the program of these sites - some chicks featured like "I love you Celeste/Madison/Melanie/Mya", but also some typical sites like Asian hardcore, older ladies, ass hardcore and so on, all indeed full hardcore level. As promised, these sites are fully included in the membership.

The design of Golden Hardcore is simple, but quite functional and without any annoying special tricks. After login you reach the main network site and can direcatly go to all member sites from there with ease. The sites all look similiar - of course, that's called corporate design! The pics on all sites are thumbnailed, but the movies only have a title picture. On Golden Hardcore especially the bigger movies are meant to be downloaded - nice. All other content on each sites is also downloadable - only the missing ZIP-files prevent me from feeling completely happy.

Conclusion

I consider these old porn movies on Golden Hardcore worth a recommendation: If you already experienced porn during those times, these might bring back nice memories. If you don't, then let me tell you that these were the top movies by the top performers of that time! And porn is different from music: The style of sex action never gets old and is still the same as 30 years ago!

Together with the other interesting sites in the network you get a respectable amount of stuff. Nevertheless I consider the price of $34.90 quite high for a monthly subscription to such a system.
