First impression

The word 'Free' always gets attention, and you can do a lot of free looking and spying at CamSoda. This live chat and cam site has a good, friendly feel to it and it's also a large site with a lot of hot girls from all around the world. You can also find guys, couples and trans models here, there are voyeur cams, some home recordings and a few free videos. There's a token system in place to pay for private chats and to tip the girls, and the prices are very reasonable.

Intro
I know that a lot of people are sceptical about live chat and cam sites because of the way that some set up their charges. At CamSoda, you can either go for a recurring monthly fee and received a great wad of tokens each month, or you can buy them in blocks. In that case, they sit in your account until you decide to use them, so you only spend when you view.

This is a live cam site where all kinds of girls from around the globe are available to show off, join the chat, and even go private. There are babes from Bulgaria, hotties from Hungary and sex-kittens from Spain. Some are amateurs, and here for the first time, others are more seasoned and established, and some are even part-time porn actresses. You can find the girls chatting and follow the chats and even join in for free, and you can, by spending tokens, see some recordings of live shows. They can include hardcore shows with guys or lesbians, toy-play and other fun stuff. Mainly, though, you're here looking for girls to get to know and get off with.

Watching and chatting
You'll see a list of categories across the top of the page which you can use to find specific things, or there's a search box. Click through from a thumbnail to a chat/cam viewing page, and you can see what's going on. If the model is in a private show you can, for a fee, be a voyeur and look in. If the girl is there and chatting, then all you have to do is join in. They might ask you for tips to reach a goal, and you can send tokens/tips if you want, that is how they make their money. These goals are things like 'Get naked' for 2,000 or mini-fuck show for 2,000 tokens. You don't have to send them all (that would cost a bit), the idea is that guys gather in a room and everyone chips in to drive the action forward.

Reading some of the comments is what gave me the vibe that this was a friendly site. Some members/viewers, come back regularly to chat with certain babes or couples, and there's a relaxed, chatty atmosphere going on. That's fine on one level, but if you want harder stuff, you can also get it as long as you use your tokens.

Technical
I found the site worked nice and smoothly. There's a viewing screen at 480 x 340 which you can resize and enlarge, and the streaming came in fine, most of the time. I did have some slow to load pages, but that might have been an issue with my connection. The site isn't very 'heavy', and in the main, everything ran smoothly. The chat box was constantly moving as guys write in and I had no issues there. There are top pics and videos and some exclusive videos at the site that you can stream, and these played in Mp4 and were streams only.

Extras
Members get interactive, of course, that's the idea, but what I mean is, you can also rate a model's page, read her stats, send her a gift, schedule private shows, receive emails when your favourite model comes online and send private messages.

The site holds a few exclusive videos where some of the models have got together for a party, with some sex involved, or made a podcast, and these are easy to find under the main menu. There are also recordings that you pay to view, and also galleries. That's under Top Videos and Pics, and there were over 7,440 of these, and their prices to view vary from 30 tokens to over 200. There were also 12,900 galleries with the cost to view is around 50 to 100 tokens.

Issues
I didn't have too many issues here, in fact, I found CamSoda one of the easiest cam sites to use, and I've been looking at a few recently. I'd have liked a more in-depth search function, with filters so I could find exactly who I liked to see from the hundreds of models who appear here. There are filters for the recordings, but not with live models. Not all models have a detailed bio, but you can find the view all tags link in the submenu and use that to open a page with, well, with all the tag words in use and it tells you how many girls are available and willing to do that… thing. (Feet, toys, fetish and also they have things like Latina, teen, petite, etc.)

Signing up is simple, and if you go for the buy as you view, you can see how many tokens you have left, and it's easy to go and buy more. The monthly membership goes you a certain amount, and after that, you could always add more.

Conclusion

CamSoda has something light and frothy and friendly about it, and I wasn't intimidated by its interface as I can be with some cam show sites. There are a few adverts and pop-ups from time to time, but you can ignore those, or use them, and I found it really easy to navigate and use. There are hundreds of live amateurs, couples and guys and even some trans performers, plenty of records to view and how much you spend and who you chat to is up to you. It's definitely one of the smoother-running cam sites, and well worth checking out.

Its prices are, like the others, set at reasonable levels and it has a members-friendly interface with no worries.
